Summary
The research stage described is focused on a topic which is less commonly examined in Romania, referring to the general and complex study of the energy consumption reduction. The author proposes a method of dimensioning, in a dynamic regime, of the cooling equipment in a real-life building, a method which could lead to a reduction of both investment costs and of consumption during the building services operation. The study results show the importance of the dynamic simulation during the cooling loads calculation procedure, taking into account the thermal and mass transfer phenomena in the building and the configuration and characteristics of the associated HVAC system.
