Summary
According to the marketing requirement for large size Refrigerator is growing rapidly, the demand for large cooling capacity compressor is growing. For refrigerators such as Side by Side system, if apply R600a, the compressor size will more bigger than R134a Compressor, as the R600a volumetric refrigeration capacity is limited. In order to consider environment friendly and drop-in process, need to find out suitable Hydrocarbons refrigerant for relative household refrigerator. This experimental analysis shows that the R290 is a suitable alternative to replace R600a in large refrigerator system with Mini Size. From thermodynamics, the characteristic curves shows R290 have better performance for freezer cycle. The current R600a Refrigeration system also suitable for R290, the experimental test result proves R290 better performance compare with R600a. If optimize the system, R290 have potential benefits in large size refrigerator. The experimental also indicate the optimization work in refrigeration and Lubricant oil in further work.
