Application of hydrocarbons as refrigerant in household refrigerators.

Author(s) : JURGENSEN H.

Summary

Previous work showed 2 different promising candidates for use in refrigerators, pure isobutane and a blend of isobutane and propane. Recent work concentrated on using isobutane for small cooling capacities, like in thick-insulated table-top refrigerators, and on the testing and adoption of mixtures for European two-temperature refrigerators. The results are shown and compared to calculations.
