THE PAPER PROVIDES AN OVERVIEW ON THE DESIGN AND OPERATION OF A PROTOTYPICAL, COMPUTERIZED HVAC DIAGNOSTIC AND ENERGY AUDIT EXPERT SYSTEM PACKAGE. THIS PROGRAM WAS DE-SIGNED TO PROVIDE A TOOL FOR CONSULTANTS AND ENERGY AUDITORS IN IDENTIFYING METHODS TO IMPROVE EFFICIENCY AND REDUCEOPERATING COSTS OF HVAC AND OTHER ENERGY-CONSUMING SYSTEMS IN COMMERCIAL AND INSTITUTIONAL BUILDINGS.
