Summary

THIS PROJECT HAS BEEN CONCERNED WITH THE TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC FEASIBILITY OF AN ICE HEAT PUMP PLANT FOR A RESIDENTIAL AREA. IT IS PROPOSED THAT THE HEAT PUMP SYSTEM SHOULD USE LAKE WATER AS ITS HEAT SOURCE, ABSTRACTING THE LATENT HEAT OF FREEZING BY TURNING THE WATER TO ICE. ICE WOULD BE REMOVED FFROM THE ICE-MAKING MACHINE BY AN EJECTOR PUMP POWERED BY A SUBMERSIBLE LAKE WATER PUMP.
