Summary

THE BEHAVIOUR OF AIR-AIR PLATE HEAT EXCHANGERS WITH HUMID AIR ROTATING IN COUNTERFLOW AND CROSSFLOW IS ANALYZED, TAKING INTO ACCOUNT WATER EVAPORATING IN THE COLD AIR FLOW AND POSSIBLE CONDENSATION IN THE HOT AIR FLOW. THE MODEL OBTAINED FROM MASS AND ENERGY BALANCES IS MADE UP OF NON-LINEAR COUPLED DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS WHICH ARE SOLVED NUMERICALLY. THE EFFICIENCY OF THE EXCHANGER IN TERMS OF ENTHALPY ALWAYS INCREASES IN THE PRESENCE OF CHANGES IN THE TITRE OF THE AIR-WATER VAPOUR MIXTURE.
