Type of article: Article
Summary
GOLDEN DELICIOUS APPLES, NOT AFFECTED BY SCALD AND NOT POSTHARVEST TREATED, WERE TREATED WITH ETHOXYQUIN AND DPA AFTER 5 MONTHS' STORAGE IN CONTROLLED ATMOSPHERE, THEN STORED AGAIN FOR 1 MONTH. SIMILAR TREATMENTS WERE ALSO APPLIED TO APPLES ALREADY AFFECTED BY SCALD. TREATMENT DURING STORAGE DID NOT PREVENT SCALD ON APPLES NOT YET AFFECTED NOR DID REDUCE IT IN APPLES ALREADY AFFECTED.
