Summary

THE CONSTRUCTION OF A BATH TYPE CRYOSTAT TO MEASURE THERMAL EXPANSION OF SOLIDS FROM 77 TO 350 K IS BRIEFLY DESCRIBED. THE THREE-TERMINAL CAPACITANCE TECHNIQUE IS ALSO DISCUSSED. THE CONSTRUCTION OF A DIFFERENTIAL CAPACITANCE DILATOMETER IS DESCRIBED. THE RESULTS ARE COMPARED WITH THOSE FROM LITERATURE AND THE CALIBRATION IS CONFIRMED.
