Summary
With the needs of global on energy saving and environmental protection, application, status of energy storage in cold storage refrigeration system are discussed in the paper. At the same time working principle of potential energy storage system using NH3/LiN03 solution as agent are proposed. At the same time the thermodynamic and economic differences are examined in terms of potential energy storage and conventional refrigeration systems using a thermodynamic and economic calculation model, then drawing conclusions according to which a potential energy storage system is a higher initial investment and 4.24% more than conventional system, unit operating capacity is the lowest and 77% lower than conventional, operating electricity rate every year is the fewest and 41.7% lower than conventional, the static and dynamic investment expect time is respectively 0.68 and 0.72 years. On the other hand, potential energy storage system has advantages as follows: working fluid is moderate pressure avoiding vacuum problem using NH3-H2O and crystallization problem using LiBr-H2O; high energy storage density; simple equipment and so on. At the end potential energy storage system is considered as the best future and applicable technology.
