Summary

Mogao grottoes in Dunhuang, northwestern Gansu province, are vested with local arid climate – the favorable condition for dehumidification. The article presents the underground tunnel design, operation conditions and thermal comfort index calculation, and the calculation result shows that indoor thermal comfort status can satisfy the requirements stipulated in related standards.
