Innovations in refrigeration unit cooler design.

Type of article: Article

Summary

Intended for both refrigerated stores and cold rooms, the ceiling mounted units are based on a new coil design using a half-inch copper tube instead of the conventional five-eighths inch tube, expanded into high wave aluminium fins. A dry expansion system is used during coil manufacture, with bullets made of a space age, virtually frictionless material. This produces totally clean tubes that do not require washing in solvent. Similarly the aluminium fins are formed from strip treated with an imported lubricant which completely evaporates shortly after die punching. A cliphinge door with fingertip fasteners gives access to internal coils.
