Automatic commissioning of HVAC control systems.
Author(s) : DEXTER A. L., HAVES P., JORGENSEN D. R.
Summary
The means to automate the starting-up and test procedures in heating, ventilation and air conditioning are studied in collaboration with an engineering consultant, an installer and a company specialized in automation and control. As an example, computer-based simulation tests on various air treatment systems are described. These are compared with manual tests, and it is shown that results enable the malfunctioning of some components to be detected. The practical possibility of these automated test systems is concluded.
