Summary

THIS PAPER STUDIES THE BEHAVIOUR, UNDER PARTIAL LOAD, OF COMPRESSORS, EVAPORATORS AND CONDENSERS, ANCILLARIES AND THERMAL UNITS. SYSTEMS SUCH AS LORENTZ CYCLE AND CYCLES WITH NON-AZEOTROPIC MIXTURES GIVE BETTER ENERGY EFFICIENCIES ; HOWEVER, THEY REQUIRE MUCH KNOWHOW AND TECHNIQUE FOR CONTROL. THE AUTHOR DESCRIBES THE INTERFERENCE BETWEEN THE HEAT PUMP AND THE HEATING SYSTEM AND THE MEASURES FOR PREVENTING EFFICIENCY LOSSES IN THE CASE OF PARTIAL LOAD. A DIAGRAM SHOWING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN INVESTMENT COSTS AND ANNUAL SAVINGS GIVES ANIDEA OF THE ECONOMIC PERFORMANCE OF HEAT PUMPS.
