Automatic defrosting at constant temperature.

Procédé ACT : auto-dégivrage à continuité de température.

Author(s) : LEGO F.

Summary

The principle consists in keeping chilling constant, that is, in maintaining the temperature required by the products, while, at the same time, defrosting the evaporator for an excellent external heat transfer coefficient. The evaporator is divided into several sections, each of which takes turn in defrosting. Nevertheless, a single expansion valve is used. The performance of the process was verified in the laboratory and in situ.
