Summary
The highest court in The Netherlands has decided, and there is no further appeal possible: there will be glass doors covering all vertical refrigerated cabinets in the Amsterdam area by the end of 2009. This was the wish of the municipal environmental authorities in the Amsterdam area, against which the supermarket operators have vehemently protested, but without success - the court has decided in favour of the municipal authorities.
