Summary
A recent Food and Drug Administration Food Code is advocating a temperature of 41 deg C or less. So manufacturers and technicans are starting to see what they can do to draw down temperatures by almost 10%. It is a challenge in new equipment, and even more so in existing cases. Other areas need to be looked at: reducing the number of joints in the evaporator coil tubing; cleaning of a unit; easier serviceability.
