Summary
Guava cv. Lucknow-46 fruits were packed in ventilated polyethylene bags and stored under ambient conditions for up to 12 days. Weight loss, firmness, titrable acidity and vitamin C, total soluble sugars and reducing sugars contents were assessed at 3-day intervals. In general, fruits with higher specific gravity could be stored for longer (being firmer and suffering less weight loss, etc.) than fruits with lower specific gravity.
