Boiling heat transfer enhancement of liquid nitrogen in a tube condenser-boiler with lunate channels.

Summary

Experimental studies on boiling heat transfer of nitrogen in a lunate channel both for a single tube and a bundle of tubes were carried out and reported. The condensing performance for the bundle of tubes was carried out in comparison with its boiling performance. The experimental results show that its heat transfer coefficient is increased 6-fold compared with that of the existing tube-type evaporator-condenser. The temperature difference for heat transfer of the lunate channel is only one half of the existing tube type evaporator-condenser.
