Summary

Numerous experiments were conducted to determine appropriate equipment design and temperature and humidity control for chambers that would house ice formations: 1) On-site analysis of the characteristics and qualities of ice formations and tests of components and equipment. 2) Sensors capable of detecting even small changes in temperature, caused by visitors, linked to a computer which carefully regulates the temperature and humidity of the chambers and also a sensitive environmental control system that makes use of the latest condensation-prevention technology. 3) The concert hall is dominated by a massive oil painting (arc length 60 m). Along with acoustic design, a special climate-control system was installed to protect the painting.
