Cactus-type heat pipe for cooling CPU.

Summary

For cooling the high-grade central processing unit in computers, the cactus-type heat pipe has been developed. The shape of this heat pipe is rectangular, and high aspect fins are bonded on the condensing surface. In this heat pipe, a copper powder coating type of wick was adopted. The thermal performance of the cactus heat pipe was tested with changing angle of the heat pipe, heat input power, and velocity of cooling air.
