Summary

This book contains the proceedings (62 papers) of the 5th International Heat Pipe Symposium, held in Melbourne, Australia, from 17 to 20 November 1996. It includes overviews of heat pipe technology and reviews of heat pipe developments in many of the participating countries. The contents range from the introductory level to recent concepts covering theories, applications and future prospects. There are reviews of analysis and modelling. Some of the articles will be abstracted in a future issue of the IIR Bulletin.
