RECALL OF PICTET'S EXPERIMENT (COOLING BY CASCADE PROCESSES AND JOULE-THOMSON EFFECT) AND OF CAILLETET'S EXPERIMENT (LIQUEFACTION PROCESS BY ADIABATIC EXPANSION WITH EXTERNAL WORK). APPLICATION OF THE ISENTROPIC PROCESS FIRST USED BY CAILLETET TO PRODUCTION OF MILLI-AND MICRODEGREE KELVIN TEMPERATURES.
