THE SOLAR AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS KNOWN UP TO NOW ARE DISCUSSED, ESPECIALLY THE USE IN HOT CLIMATES. A NEW SOLAR SYSTEM ESPECIALLY ADAPTED TO TROPICAL CLIMATES IS PRESENTED AND ITS PRINCIPLES AND OPERATING CHARACTERISTICS ARE DESCRIBED. THE AUTHORS CONCLUDE THAT THEY EXPECT A HIGHER ENERGETIC EFFICIENCY THAN WITH ALL OTHER SYSTEMS KNOWN UNDER TROPICAL AND SUBTROPICAL CONDITIONS.
