Calculate cryogenic pressure build flow requirements.

Author(s) : SOWELL R., WORCESTER R.

Type of article: Article

Summary

A calculation that is often required in cryogenics is the pressure build flow rate required for a given flow of product from a cryogenic storage tank. The classical technique involves a repetitive calculation. An improved technique is presented by means of a simple graph, and a very accurate equation for calculator or computer calculations. Both the graph and the equation are presented for liquid nitrogen and liquid oxygen.
