Calculation and simulation of a heat exchanger: supercritical carbon dioxide-water.

Author(s) : SCHOENFELD H., KRAUS W. E.

Summary

A model has been created in order to calculate heat transfer and hold up of supercritical CO2 at an existing heat pump. The dynamic behaviour of the counter current heat exchanger was modelled by PDE including property and heat transfer coefficient calculations. Changes of the design of the heat exchanger can be simulated. The model offers a great variety of opportunities for investigating heat transfer processes.
