Summary

The block diagram of the feedback control loop containing a shell-and-tube heat exchanger has been constructed, and the optimal controller settings for both proportional and three-mode have been calculated using the Ziegler and Nichols and process reaction curve tuning methods. Next the closed loop transient responses of the control loop under both servo and regular operations have been computed.
