Summary

A new calculation method is described for the regeneration of the surface of the desublimer using water vapour under vacuum conditions. An analytical expression was obtained for describing the heat exchange between the water vapour and the layer of ice to be melted. Experimental studies of this process were undertaken and the results of the calculations and tests were compared.
