Summary

THE NEW PRINCIPLE ELABORATED BY THE LTIHP FOR BUILDING A SUBLIMATION PLANT BASED ON A UNIQUE ORGANIZATION SCHEME OF HEAT TRANSFER TO A FINNED CHAMBER IN WHICH THE DRIED PRODUCT IS ACCOMMODATED IS DISCUSSED. THE AUTHORS SUGGEST TRANSFERRING HEAT ON ONE SIDE OF THE CHAMBER ONLY, FROM WHICH IT IS TRANSFERRED BY THERMAL CONDUCTION TO THE WHOLE PRODUCT, PASSING THROUGH THE BOTTOM AND LONGITUDINAL FINS. A MOCK-UP OF THE INDUSTRIAL PLANT WITH A SINGLE LOADING OF 50 KG WAS ERECTED AND TESTED. A PROJECT OF INDUSTRIAL PLANT WAS MADE, WITH A CAPACITY OF ABOUT 400 KG/DAY FOR A 1 M3 SUBLIMATOR.
