Summary
Phase equilibrium calculations were performed for alkane-aromatics-naphthene (+CO2) systems to test the ability of the previous proposed Boublík-Van der Waals group contribution equation of state. An important feature of the model is that it does not contain binary (or higher order) mixture parameters. It was found that the model fitted to pure component vapour pressure data but performed poorly for mixtures; however if mixture data are also used to estimate model parameters, the prediction is acceptable.
