CHARACTERISTIC PARAMETERS OF WINDOWS.

Author(s) : BRUNELLO P., ZECCHIN R.

Summary

THE COMPLEXITY OF THERMAL AND OPTICAL PHENOMENA AND THE NUMEROUS TYPES OF WINDOWS MAKE IT NECESSARY TO EVALUATE THEIR PROPERTIES CAREFULLY. IT WOULD BE INTERESTING TO KNOW THE VARIOUS COMPONENTS OF HEAT GAIN AT THE INTERNAL SURFACE OF THE WINDOW (SHORT WAVE RADIATION, CONVECTION AND INFRARED RADIATION) IN ORDER TO QUALIFY THE WINDOW SYSTEM COMPLETELY. THIS PAPER PRESENTS THE CHARACTERISTIC PARAMETERS OF THE MOST COMMON WINDOW DESIGNS, CALCULATED BY A COMPUTER FROM THE MEASURED OPTICAL PROPERTIES OF THE VARIOUS COMPONENTS.
