Author(s) : BAILER P.
Summary
A two stage centrifugal heat pump is described which is installed, commissioned and in operation since summer 1992 in a yeast factory in Sollentuna, Sweden. The heat source during weekdays is the cooling process of the yeast factory, during weekends ground water is used. The produced heat capacity of 5,000 kilowatts is supplied to the district heating system of the community of Sollentuna. This is the first industrial heat pump producing 80 deg C water with R134a.
