Summary
The use of carbon dioxide in refrigerating and freezing systems in supermarkets in Sweden is increasing. This paper briefly describes 3 principal solutions, which have been used in these systems. It also discusses new questions created by the use of carbon dioxide, which have to be handled with knowledge and cooperation across the ordinary delivery limits between refrigerant, ventilation and heating systems, in order to obtain the highest possible energy efficiency.
