Summary
A new concept of CO2 heat pump cycles and systems is described in the paper. Based on theoretical cycle calculations, an analysis of a CO2 transcritical cycle and its system is presented. The results show that this cycle gives heat recovery which supplies hot water while operating for air-conditioning or refrigeration purposes or heat pump systems. The authors are hopeful that the COP value of the CO2 cycle with two-stage compression can compete with those of R22 or R134a.
