CO2 heat pump water heater: simulation and test results.

Author(s) : RIEBERER R., HALOZAN H.

Summary

A prototype of a brine to water heat pump with a heating capacity of about 15 kilowatts has been designed and constructed. First measurements with this prototype have been carried out already. Comparisons of calculated and measured values have shown that the simulation model describes the reality very well. Simulations and measurements confirm that the heat transfer coefficient of CO2 is very high, and the effect of pressure drop is very low.
