Common and different features in vortex dynamics of LTS, HTS and MgB2.

Author(s) : ADESSO M. G., POLICHETTI M., PACE S., et al.

Summary

The magnetic response of several type-II superconductors, namely low-Tc (Nb3Sn and Nb), high-Tc (YBCO) and MgB2 polycrystalline samples, has been investigated by using the harmonics of the alternating current magnetic susceptibility. The data have been analysed in terms of Cole-Cole plots. A similar behaviour as a function of the amplitude of the alternating current magnetic field has been observed in the 1st harmonics Cole-Cole plots, whereas a different non-linear magnetic response has been detected, in the analysed materials. Numerical techniques are necessary to individuate the different vortex dynamic regimes as responsible of the magnetic behaviour in the samples.
