COMPARISON OF FALLING FILM AND VERTICAL TUBULAR ABSORBERS FOR ABSORPTION HEATING/COOLING SYSTEMS.

Summary

THE AUTHORS DESCRIBE THE PRACTICAL ACHIEVEMENT OF A VERTICAL TUBE BUBBLE ABSORBER WITH 30 PARALLEL TUBES MOUNTED IN AN ABSORPTION REFRIGERATING MACHINE WITH AN AMMONIA-LITHIUM NITRATE SYSTEM. A MATHEMATICAL MODEL FOR PREDICTING THE PERFORMANCE OF THE ABSORBER WAS COMPARED WITH TEST RESULTS. SOME CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ABSORBER ARE DESCRIBED AND DATA ARE GIVEN ON AN ECONOMIC EVALUATION.
