Summary

The use of dialysis for addition of cryoprotectant followed by direct insemination of eggs without cryoprotectant removal provides the basis for a useful mode of mouse sperm cryopreservation. The formulation of the cryoprotectant as glycerol plus trehalose makes it possible to carry out mouse sperm cryopreservation in a defined medium, using this mode.
