Comparison of screw compressors in liquid chillers for air conditioning applications with ammonia and R134a. I.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Liquid chillers are standard products in air conditioning technology. A vapour compression process is used. Apart from R22, R134a and some new refrigerant blends, the use of ammonia as a refrigerant is spreading in Germany and a few (Northern) European countries. This study compares R134a and ammonia.
