Summary

IN AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS FOR TEXTILE PLANTTHE ADIABATIC HUMIDIFICATION SYSTEM IS OFTEN USED. IT RESULTS IN A SMALL CHANGE IN ENTHALPY AND A HIGH RATE OF AIR CIRCULATION. THE COLD WATER FROM REFRIGERATING EQUIPMENT MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO INCREASE ENTHALPY VARIATION TO A LARGE EXTENT AND TO DECREASE THE RATE OF AIR CIRCULATION. HOWEVER THE ENERGY CONSUMPTION PER UNITARY HEAT EXCESS IN THE WORKSHOPS IS ABOUT SIMILAR FOR BOTH CONVENTIONAL AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS. THE USE OF TWO-STAGE EVAPORATIVE COOLING PROCEDURES FOR SUPPLIED AIR DECREASES POWER CONSUMPTION BY 1.5 AS COMPARED TO THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM UNDER THE SAME CONDITIONS OF HEAT REJECTION.
