COMPOSITE STRUCTURE AS A HEATING ELEMENT FOR BOILING OF R113.

Author(s) : BLAGOJEVIC B.

Summary

IN AN ATTEMPT TO ISOLATE HEAT FLUX FROM ITS DEPENDENCY ON HEATING SURFACE TEMPERATURE, THE AUTHOR HAS EXPERIMENTED WITH COMPOSITE STRUCTURES CONSISTING OF TWO MATERIALS, COPPER AND STAINLESS STEEL, WHICH HAVE DIFFERENT THERMOPHYSICAL PROPERTIES. THE RESULTS OBTAINED WHEN BOILING R113 USING SURFACE TEMPERATURES CHANGING BETWEEN 323 AND 373 K (50 AND 100 DEG C) INDICATE THE POSSIBILITIES OF THIS APPROACH. D.W.H.
