A COMPUTER PROGRAM IS PRESENTED TO SIMULATE THE BEHAVIOUR OF LARGE-SIZE ABSORPTION HEAT PUMPS. THEY ARE SINGLE-STAGE ABSORPTION UNITS WITH WATER-ADMITTED APPARATUS AND STEAM-HEATED DEAERATOR WHICH OPERATE ON COMBINED NH3/H2O. THE COMPUTATION IS NEEDED, EG FOR CHARACTERISTIC-FIELD DETERMINATION, THE INVESTIGATION OF DIFFERENT OPERATING PARAMETERS AND APPARATUS DIMENSIONS AND FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF APPLICATIONAL LIMITS.
