Condensation of new refrigerants inside smooth and enhanced tubes.

Summary

Available experimental data includes local and average condensation heat transfer coefficients of pure refrigerants, R134a, R125, R32, R124, R152, and their mixtures in both smooth and micro-fin tubes in a wide operative range. Data on smooth tubes was compared with theoretical models to determine their ability to predict heat transfer of new refrigerants and mixtures. A new model predicting condensation inside micro-and low-fin tubes both with traditional and new pure refrigerants is also presented.
