Summary
The electrical contact resistance of stainlees steel screen stacks at room temperature and at liquid nitrogen temperature has been measured as a function of externally applied mechanical load (weight). The data show a nearly linear voltage versus current function at small loads (up to 100 milliA). The force has been varied up to a specific load of 1 N/cm2. The conductances obtained appear to be consistent with literature data for thermal contact conductances of similar systems.
