Summary

THE OPTICAL OSCILLATION CONTRIBUTION TO HEAT CAPACITY IN CASE OF CRYSTAL ANISOTROPY ALTERATION IS ANALYZED BY THE JACOBI MATRIX METHOD. IT IS SHOWN THAT THE LOW FREQUENCY OPTICAL MODES EXISTING IN HIGHLY ANISOTROPIC CRYSTALS MAKE A SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTION TO THE LOW TEMPERATURE THERMODYNAMICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THESE COMPOUNDS.
