Summary
Locating leaks is a necessity, but determining maximum annual loss is even more worthwhile. The article reviews the methods for doing so. It deals with thermal-conductivity leak detectors, the use of electronics against leaks and the detecting of leaks through fluorescence. A list of available detectors is given.
