Summary
THE RAYLEIGH-BERNARD PROBLEM FOR A SUPERFLUID HELIUM 3-HELIUM 4 SOLUTION IS SOLVED IN THE LINEAR THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY APPROXIMATION. IT IS SHOWN THAT THE PARAMETER THAT DETERMINES THE STABILITY BOUNDARY DIFFERS FUNCTIONALLY FROM THE RAYLEIGH NUMBER FOR NORMAL LIQUIDS. A COMPARISON BETWEEN THE THEORY AND EXPERIMENTAL DATA IS CARRIED OUT.
