Summary

The author discusses the entire problem of refrigeration using heat carriers or coolants. The latter can be single-phase but are increasingly often two-phase, of the "liquivap" or "liquisol" type. Certain manufacturers are mentioned. The heat-carrying thermophysical properties of the main fluids used are given, circuit design for these fluids is explained and specific diagrams are included.
