Summary

THE PROCESS IS STUDIED AND SOME EXPERIMENTAL DATA ARE GIVEN FOR THE NON-MECHANICAL ADIABATIC EXPANSION OF GAS FLOW, FOLLOWED BY A DECREASE IN TEMPERATURE. THE COOLING EFFECT DURING THIS PROCESS OCCURS INDEPENDENTLY OF THE ARRANGEMENT OF GAS PARAMETERS PRIOR TO EXPANSION ON EITHER SIDE OF THE INVERSION CURVE.
