Summary
Cooling surfaces, tank dimensions, regulations and necessary COPs differ according to type of beer, the brewery's fermenting and maturing processes, and type of cooling, i.e. direct evaporation or indirect cooling. An energy and economic comparison is made of direct evaporation and direct cooling. The K-value and cooling curve are presented for a cylinder-cone tank.
