Cooling water and heat pumps.
L'acqua per il raffredamento e le pompe di calore.
Author(s) : LARIA R.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Water is the ideal cooling fluid, both in the industrial field and in conditioning. Not only does it transmit big quantities of heat, but through evaporation, it can reduce the latent heat of evaporation. In order to avoid scaling and deposits as well as corrosion, it is necessary to treat water with appropriate plants and condition it with special chemical products. It is also particularly important to keep the development of biological organisms under control. The UNI-CTI 8884 standard establishes water characteristics required according to the different types of cooling plants. The article also deals with the question of water for heat pumps.
